September 2014 Used Up Products

There is few things more satisfying than using a product up to it's last drop - here are the ones I finally finished this month...

GlamGlow Youthmud Tingle Exfoliate Treatment //

I bought this back in April and had been using it sparingly ever since. After all, when you pay this much for a face mask, you want to make it last. It really made my skin glow and is great for when you're feeling sluggish. Unfortunately, I didn't realise that it would dry out quite so quickly, despite it having two lids to keep the moisture in. This isn't truly an empty product, but it became so dried up and crumbly to be of no use to anyone. So if you have this/are planning on purchasing it, do try and use it because you end up wasting more by trying to just wear it on special occasions!

L'Oréal EverPure Moisture Deep Restorative Masque //

I also mentioned this here in my September favourites, so it was a winner for me.

The Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector //

This is a perfectly good hand cream - it hydrates my skin and keeps it moisturised for many hours. The hemp smell is definitely perculiar and unfortunately it was not one I could get around. For that reason I won't be repurchasing it, but if you like that scent, then go for it - the product itself is lovely.

Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm //

This was the first cleansing balm I ever tried and is considered by many to be the Rolls Royce of cleansing balms. Beautifully scented, thoroughly cleansing yet moisturising, it is truly a wonderful product. I want to try out the other balms on the market, but I'll have a special place in my heart for the Emma Hardie offering.

Mancine Professional Tea Tree Oil Hand and Body Lotion //

I was recommended this because my skin can react badly after waxing and shaving. There are better products out there for dealing with irritated skin - I often just use a pure tea tree oil. I found the tea tree oil smell a bit too heady to use it as a regular body lotion, so I won't be buying this again.

The Body Shop Coconut Body Butter //

The Body Shop Body Butters are iconic and a staple in the lives of many people with very dry, dehydrated skin. I don't have dry skin on my body so the difference this made for me personally was not very noticeable. However, the scent was heavenly and it left my skin smooth, soft and nourished. If you need heavy duty moisturisation, this would definitely be a good pick.
