Spring go-to nail polishes

I like to reflect the seasons in what I wear, and there are few easier, cheaper or quicker ways to do so than with nail polish. Here are four of the nail polishes that have been getting me excited recently for the warmer weather!

Essie 'Lilacism' //

I adore this milky purple on my nails as it reminds me of wildflowers. Although I don't usually choose purple in the clothes I wear, this pale lilac is pastel enough that it's not overwhelming, but it is still a little different.

Butter London 'Fruit Machine' //

This bluey-pink is possibly a little too bright to be deemed sophisticated, but I don't mind. I'd class it as a true Barbie pink, but don't hold that against it. You can't help but smile when you've got this on.

Essie 'Mint Candy Apple' //

This is an almost white minty blue and it's utterly gorgeous. There is nothing fresher than this colour in my nail polish collection.

Note: I've noticed that this is not stocked everywhere, so a good alternative to this is the Rimmel 60 Seconds polish in 'Breakfast in Bed'. It's basically the same idea, with Rimmel's polish a bit more shimmery and green.

Revlon Parfumerie 'Apricot Nectar' //

Rounding out the pastels is this peachy colour from the Revlon Parfumerie line. It has a distinctly fruity scent for the first few hours after painting your nails, but that soon fades away. 'Apricot Nectar' is a slightly darker shade than my other picks, but it's fruitiness gets me into a springtime mood like the rest of them.
