October 2014 favourites

Despite being in the heading into a hectic period of university exams, I've still managed to find some absolute gems this month.
LUSH's King of Skin Body Butter //

Let's start with a product that isn't in the photo because it has been used up completely. I don't have particularly dry skin on my limbs and so while I know it's good to moisturise after my shower, I can get a little lazy about it. King of Skin is perfect for that - you foam it up a little under the shower, turn off the taps and rub it onto your damp skin before drying off. It smelt quite like white chocolate and was not greasy or sticky afterwards. If you don't need a full-blown moisturiser for your body, this may be one to try.

Lipstick Queen lipstick in "Medieval" //

I have already sung this lipstick's praises here but it is so lovely I felt obliged to mention it again. In less than a month, it has firmly cemented its position as a product that never leaves my handbag.

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in "Blueberry" // (not available in Australia)

A good friend of mine was recently in the UK and very kindly bought me this nail polish because I had had it on my wish list for ages. I had seen it on the nails of many a British blogger and just could not find a colour that I liked quite as much in Australia. It somehow manages to be pastel yet bright at the same time, and I have gotten many compliments this month wearing it. Hopefully one day Barry M will be available in Australia!

Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation //

I recently did a post on creating a long-lasting makeup base and this foundation was front and centre. It really stays put and does the job. I definitely will be reaching for it more and more into the warmer months.
