New Year's skincare resolutions

I know that it is just a day like any other, but I can't help feeling January 1st is the perfect moment to make fresh starts! If you are anything like me, you'll have a few bad habits you've been meaning to deal with - so why not now?


1. Reapply sunscreen throughout the day

I'm very good at using SPF every morning, but I don't ever usually touch up later in the day, either with powder sunscreen on my face, or lotions on my body. Given how hot it gets here in Australia, this is definitely a priority.

2. Use more face masks

I have a decent collection of face masks that I do tend to use regularly, but I often am just a little too lazy and put it off until later. All the faff putting them on, waiting, taking them off without getting water everywhere! However, I really want to get into a solid routine in 2015 because I think it's such a luxurious and pampering thing to do.

3. Be gentler with makeup removal

It can be easy to succumb to the temptation of rubbing your eyes in order to get product off easily, but in the long term this can lead to wrinkles and sagging. I am definitely guilty of this. I'm going to try and take my makeup off earlier in the evening, so I'm not exhausted once makeup removal time comes around.
