Why I sleep with an eye mask

I did try for a while to not sleep on my stomach so as to reduce my face wrinkling when pushed against the sheets, as described here, but to be totally honest, I didn't get very far. I just can't seem to kick the habit, it seems. If you, like myself, must sleep on your stomach, might I suggest buying a silk eye mask?

It may sound extravagant, but it's indispensable for me for two reasons. Firstly, it blocks out light so as to ensure a better night's sleep (especially in summer, when the sun rises very early and all you want to do is sleep in). I used to use a little cotton one I got on the plane, but I've recently switched to silk for the second reason. If I'm lying on silk, it catches the skin around your eye area less and then (hopefully) results in fewer wrinkles. Then all I do is hand wash it in warm water and mild soap every once in a while and I'm sorted!

I bought this brand and although it is expensive, I can't live without it and it's beautiful quality. Those cleverer than me with a sewing machine might want to try and sew their own!

I think silk masks are an excellent investment in your skin and sleep quality - what do you think?
