Bad to the bronze - the budget eye shadow for blue eyes

If you've ever read an article about what colours you should wear for your eye colour, you'd know that bronze is touted as a perfect match for blue eyes. Perhaps because of this, and because of my soft-spot for goldy colours, I've acquired a decent collection of bronze eyeshadows.

I've got powders, creams and loose pigments, mattes and shimmers, but the most reached for of them all is Maybelline's Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze.

It's a cream, which means ease of application (no brushes!) and it blends easily. It's the most beautiful gold tone, partly copper, partly yellow.

For daytime, I can get away with using it by itself (as pictured here) but it's a perfect base for smokier nighttime looks.

It is slightly glittery, but if you're fine with that, it's the ideal one-wash-of-colour eyeshadow look for everyday. And if you do use it regularly, you'll be pleased to hear that it's very budget friendly ($11.95 AUD) and will last you a longtime - I've had mine for near on a year and I've barely dented it.

It is perfect for blue-eyed girls, but it would look equally beautiful on anyone, despite what certain articles may prescribe.
