Trilogy Rosehip Oil Antioxidant+

For most of my life, I've steered clear of facial oils as up until a few years ago, I had adolescent, breakout-prone skin and using heavy oils was the last thing on my mind. Living in Australia also didn't help, as given the high temperatures for a good part of the year, skin doesn't need the extra moisturisation that might be required in dryer, cooler climes.

I have been swayed in recent times to test some facial oils, with their promise of supple, thoroughly hydrated skin. The Trilogy Rosehip Oil Antioxidant+ is an upgrade of their cult rosehip oil, with added antioxidants, which helps fight free radicals in the skin and preserves the oil for longer.

I tend to use this every evening after moisturising and on no makeup days, I reapply the oil throughout the day and use it to massage my skin. The next day, my skin looks clearer and perfectly hydrated. For those frightened of oils, keep an eye out for how much you use - just 2 or 3 drops is sufficient to have some effect without turning you into a grease ball.

Oh, and I have just learned this product is a firm favourite of the Duchess of Cambridge - that's reason enough for me to love this product. If that doesn't convince you, know it's a simple, beautiful product to give a little boost to your skincare routine.

I've just heard from the lovely people at Trilogy who have made an infographic all about rosehip oil (where it comes from, how it's made and its benefits) and I thought it might be interesting to share it with you - just click on the photo below and it'll take you through to the site. I've never thought of using it as a hair conditioning treatment so I will definitely try that out!
