Goals for 2016

As it's New Years Eve, it is customary to outline a few resolutions for the incoming year and I, for one, am very excited for 2016 to start. 2015 has been a lot of hard work and in all, a good 365 days, but there are a few things I would have loved to achieved this year that I'm adamant about getting done in the next.

Learn German // I'm quite fluent in French, and obviously I speak English, but I've always wanted to learn another language. There's a real possibility I might be living in Switzerland in a few years and German isn't so close to French that I'd muddle the two languages (a common complaint of I hear from students of multiple Romance languages).

Dedicate myself to my blog // I love working on my little corner of the internet, but between university, work, housemoving, a new puppy and a host of other distractions, I've rather neglected my blog at times this year. That said, in 2015, I've set up my own domain and bought a new camera, so there has been some milestones along the way. I just want to work on consistency and challenging myself to produce the best content I can.

Explore more // Whether it be seeking out new eateries and areas of my city, or road trips and plane travel, 2016 is the year I want to see and do more. This is not necessarily an expensive exercise - there a plenty of events, markets and activities that don't cost a cent. It's more a question of organisation and research, but there are helpful city guides (see here and here if you're also in Perth) that do most of the hard work for you.

As always, share your hopes and dreams for 2016 down below - I always find reading other's resolutions very inspiring. Have a happy new year!
