Wishlist of the season

Christmastime is a primetime for crafting one's wishlist, what with the plethora of festive packaging and gift sets offered in the beauty halls, alongside the impending Boxing Day sales. I've been restrained all year and have been working pretty hard of late, so I feel I can justify splashing out on a few items I've been coveting for months.

Let's address the most extravagant piece on the list first. I've been a Smythson devotee since stumbling across their counter in Harvey Nichols on a trip to London in 2012, where I fell hard for their buttery soft leather goods that are the epitome of sophistication. I've been lusting after their Dukes Organiser as I'm looking to invest in a planner I can use in lieu of purchasing a yearly diary - so technically, it'll eventually pay itself off, right?

I've become a bit candle-mad of late - there are few things as comforting and calming as letting the room be filled with a warming perfume. I've been eyeing up the selection from Jo Malone, a brand I've never bought from before, as their fragrance products are often touted as being the finest on the market. From what I hear, their cult scents of Peony & Blush Suede and Wood Sage & Sea Salt would be sure choices.

Beauty-wise, a few bits from Charlotte Tilbury are at the top of my list, since she conveniently launched her range on Australian shores earlier this year. Of her 'looks', I've always gravitated towards The Sophisticate and the eponymous eyeshadow quad (once described to me by a fellow beauty obsessive as being a very luxe version of my beloved Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette) looks perfect for me. For gorgeous skin, Charlotte's Filmstar Bronze and Glow is adored by apparently everyone ever, so I'd be keen to get my mitts on one as well.

A fashion item to round out the list is the Stuart Weitzman Highland Boots, which tempt me everytime I spy the perpetually chic Tijan Serena wearing them. Of all the items on my wishlist, I'm most confident these will be discounted post-Christmas, so I'm keeping a very close eye on them.

A very indulgent selection, yes, but a girl can dream, no? I'll keep you updated as to how I chose to treat myself!
