Bedtime luxury: The Holistic Silk Lavender Eye Mask

Sometimes I stumble across an item that is so exquisitely beautiful that I cannot help but yield, which is exactly what happened with the Holistic Silk Lavender Eye Mask. I use eye masks nightly to block out light and the Holistic Silk mask is perfect for me, both aesthetically and functionally.

As the name suggests, the outer layer of the mask is silk, while the side that touches the face is made of soft, inky-blue velvet. I chose the iridescent silver colour, embroidered with blossoms - a colour palette that looks chic with any sleepwear.  Unlike other masks I've owned in the past, the Holistic Silk offering is very wide and cuts out all light, which is a godsend as the sun rises unbearably early (read: before 6am) at the moment.

Perhaps the loveliest and most luxurious feature is that the mask is filled with dried lavender petals which help relax and induce sleepiness.  It is such a comforting scent and I cannot help but feel much calmer when I'm wearing it, which is invaluable on evenings where I'm overwhelmed or anxious. I imagine it'd be brilliant if you're a nervous flyer. It also makes me feel very beautiful, like a modern day Holly Golightly.

The Holistic Silk Lavender Eye Mask comes in a variety of chic colours and is also available with embroidery of a dragonfly. I purchased mine from Cult Beauty.
